干一行爱一行、专一行精一行，这是对雷锋敬业精神的高度概括。他将满腔的热血投入到每一项工作中去，以高度的责任心和使命感出色地完成各项工作，在平凡的岗位中创造了不平凡的成绩，雷锋真正做到了像一颗螺丝钉，拧在哪里，就在哪里发光。

Loving whatever he engages in, focusing on it and mastering it is the high generalization of Lei Feng's dedication. With full passions, he devoted himself to every work and created extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions, completing all work excellently with a high sense of responsibility and mission. Lei Feng achieved the goal of shining wherever he screwed like a bolt.

1958年11月，雷锋主动请缨到鞍山炼钢去，一心想炼钢的他却被分配为推土机学徒，经过主任解释后，欣然接受并且取得了出色的成就。他当时驾驶的是“斯大林80号”推土机，车头高大，身材矮小的他坐进去几乎看不到前面的土铲，只能猫着腰操作，但他坚决不肯换小型车，认真向师傅学习，虚心向同事请教，通过勤学苦练，仅仅用了四个半月时间就拿到了安全操作许可证，成为了一名合格的推土机手。

In November 1958, Lei Feng volunteered for the steel-making position in Anshan, but he was assigned as a bulldozer apprentice. After the director explained, Lei Feng gladly accepted it and made excellent achievements. He was driving the “Stalin 80” bulldozer with a huge head-stock, short as he was, Lei Feng could hardly see the shovel in front of him, so he had to lean on his back to operate it. However, he refused to change the smaller car, instead he earnestly learned the skills from his master and colleagues. Through his hard work, only four and a half months later, he got the safe operation permit and became a qualified bulldozer driver.
